Finland could host a Formula 1 Grand Prix in the future

Finland has a high number of successful motorsport stars. From a country of some five million habitants have come three Formula 1 Champions. The United Kingdom has produced the most World Championship winning drivers with ten; Brazil and Finland are next with three each. When you consider the populations, this is a very high ratio of success.

In addition to F1 the Finns have enjoyed success elsewhere too. Rallying was once ruled by Finns and the country has hosted a World Championship Rally since 1951. As a small country, Finland has never hosted a Formula 1 race. There is now talks about such an events between the company organising the Formula 1 races and a Finnish Partner.
