The M in HMVC: Using Symfony with MySQL, MongoDB and Redis

Many developers remember Symfony 1 and think it’s tightly coupled with MySQL. The fact is that Symfony framework is a different beast, it is more of a collection of stand alone components put together with some glue code. The Symfony project does not force any specific model, in fact the Symfony project itself has nothing like Eloquent of Laravel fame from the community.
